Procedure
The method used is a simple experiment in a lab setting . The experiment which included the entire class involved emulation of a computer keyboard 's spacebar key which creates a clicking noise while at the same time moving a switch within the box that drops food . It is worth noting that there was no use of light or shock in the experiment . The experiment started with clicking only when the rat was near the food dispenser and moved to only clicking when the rat was standing near the wall of the food dispenser .
