p The writer creating a well-articulated written piece is in many ways akin to a carpenter who strives to craft a masterful wooden artefact The carpenter uses raw materials and tools to put them together in a neat and solid fashion so that the object could serve its purpose well In the same way , the writer works with raw materials - words and phrases . It is the writer 's task to put them together coherently and beautifully , never losing sight of the original purpose of the writing In this process , the writer is equipped

with tools some of the most important being , narration , and example
A is a part of the story that is meant to show the event individual , object , or situation . Ideally , the reader completing this part should be able to create in his or her mind a bright image of the described entity . The more unforgettable this image is , the better the writer did his or her job . In the , the nouns and verbs are like bolts and nails used by the carpenter to hold together the larger construction - they have to provide basic points holding things together
The narration , on the other hand , aims to tell a story . Sentences and structures in narrative compositions have to flow naturally , like elements in the construction fastened together by glue . At the same time , the narrative has to keep the focus on a special purpose which can be to instruct , to entertain , or something else
With an example , the writer is trying to use a small example to illustrate a big point . Although many people can question examples from the logical standpoint (does the story of a drug addict illustrate what will happen to all addicts , it is nevertheless a powerful tool to appeal to emotional and visual perception of the reader . The example can become the best part of the story , something people will remember for a long time because it caught their attention
The tools available to willing to turn their essays into impressive and influential creations are plenty . Using these tools , the writer can craft the essay to present convincingly any thoughts and ideas , given that these ideas are presented with sufficiently developed skills
