The part of this study discusses the research design and measurement procedure , in which is used as the methodology for this research . The fundamental research design applied here was the qualitative type of research , since this study in general was descriptive in nature pertaining to the shift of economic power from the US and Europe nation towards China and Shanghai in particular

The use of qualitative type of research here , as the

research design was highly the rational choice since it has the structural components to specify a correct and precise explanation of the topic of this study Although as cited that in this type of research which is basically a perspective of experiences of people as its core variable and focus (Patton , 2002 .This study involves not only cited sources , but relevant reports and documents that supports the over-all concept of Shanghai 's becoming an International Financial Center during the financial crisis Various reports have been discussed in this study , even though may seem as quantitative in nature , but ultimately explains the emergence of China during that period . Majority of the research data here also came from analysts sources narrating the unquantifiable and significant parts of the study .
