The CSUSB 's production of Hamlet ' by William Shakespeare

Remarkably , the impact that William Shakespeare to the world of literature is still very evident in today 's world . Perhaps that claim is owing to the fact that William Shakespeare is widely accepted as arguably the best writer that had ever live , not to mention he is nicknamed the immortal ' His success as a writer owes much to one of his best-known work and arguably the best drama ever written , Hamlet All that may

have just explained for me why I had appreciated the March 23 show of Hamlet , in the CSUSB Theater

There are many aspects of the show that I liked . On the other hand there are also some aspects of the play that I did not appreciate though there are only a few . In some sense , the actors become the mouthpiece of Shakespeare 's exquisite use of words

There are some instances during the show when the audience would be making a little noise during the run . But when the beautiful words of Shakespeare are being delivered , the audience 's silence expresses their awe . This silence was particularly visible during the famous Shakespearean soliloquy to be or not to be ' the success of the play in terms of acting should not be only attributed to the actors themselves . The director did a good job on getting the most of the talent out of the actors . The intense acting of the actors is undeniably a remarkable aspect of the play . Their good performance reflects their dedication , hard work , and love for the craft

The budget of the production was reflected through the costumes . It is not that the costumes were bad - but they could certainly be better . But again the acting makes up for everything . The director , the actors , and all the staff people were commendably came up with creating an entertaining illusion for the audience . This is a very commendable aspect of the play . The budget committee should be also applauded just like the actors and the director

The lighting was also good during the show . The lighting was very effective in setting the mood , especially the blue light on the background during tension-filled scenes . On the other hand , the sound was also good-although there some rough parts . The progression of the music fits the mood of the play . The problem could be in the audio equipment

And of course , the most valid testament to the success of the play is the thunderous applause when the curtain came down

I would certainly recommend this staging of Hamlet . The show is really something that I had enjoyed . I would want others to also experience the aesthetic treat that this version of Shakespeare could provide
