I . The Role of Females As in the typical of the novels and works of William Shakespeare , the female characters always tend to go on some misadventures before finally settling the chaos . The lead female characters in the novel , Beatrice and Hero , are cousins who happen to fall in love with the men who are guests at the house of Hero 's father Leonato . Their identities are contrasting , for

Beatrice is the one who possesses the stronger personality , and on the other hand , Hero , the more prim one . Hero possesses gullibility Beatrice is clever and witty and epitomizes the strong feminine identity and concepts in the play while Hero lacks all of those , and in turn degrades it . Beatrice even thinks of the notion that the females are the better sex and that women could live even without the care of men . A dear happiness to women they would else have been troubled with a pernicious suitor . I thank God and my cold blood I am of your humor for that : I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swears he loves me (line 126 page 254

Independence is the ever-recurring facet in the feminine plot the play Independence in almost everything . Women like Beatrice choose to have decisions of her own , and all throughout insinuates and blatantly exhibit that she is an intelligent and independent woman , could not be dictated to by any other individual and not just...
