The subjects were asked to take mental notes of all the red objects that they could see inside the room . They were then asked to close their eyes and recite objects that have blue color . For several seconds , the three subjects were quiet . After a few seconds more , they begun to mention objects that they thought were blue . Although several of the objects they mentioned were accurate , most of the blue objects were either not in the room or had different color like violet or black . At the end

They ignored the other objects inside the room and busied their eyes looking for anything that was red . It is also the tendency to see particular objects in a familiar way .
