The United States of America occupies a very important position in the world . This is mainly because it is the only remaining super power and it is thus able to use its power especially the economic one to influence the entire world . The Americans were involved in an armed conflict with Spain in 1898 over issues regarding Cuba liberation . The Spanish war started when Spain rejected demands by America for Cuban fight resolution .
