In this English class , I learned to appreciate authors and their literary work . It gave me a chance to create my own understanding on the things that they have presented . I have enjoyed the wisdom of the authors that they have embodied in their works . The stories that were introduced to the class

painted a fictional character in my mind and helped me analyze about how these characters are present in the real world . In every single work that we have read in this class , I gained insights on different topics such as love , friendship , life and family . The activities in this English class instilled important lessons that I might use in my everyday life
Among the stories that were introduced to us in the class , I find Sherman Alexie 's What It Means to Say Phoenix Arizona the most interesting and mind-opening . It was truly a unique plot that holds great truths about life . This story has characters that come alive in one 's imagination .
