There is this similarity between this service and that of the rationing of health care funds or resources which also has to do with the consideration for the effective distribution of theses resources

ANSWER : There is a great necessity that follows the availability of health care resources . That is why the issue of rationing has to come in play in other to achieve equity in the distribution of these resources These resources can either go by the evaluation of individualism , by the availability of the resources , by ethics and ideologies
In Australia , two health care services I know are gatekeeping and commonwealth funds
The issue of gatekeeping has to do with the medical practitioner 's decision on patients . There are the ones to state if a patient has to be admitted or be provided with other available forms of treatments . In other words this is to say that gatekeeping is all about the services rendered in a hospital
Commonwealth fund has to do with the assistance rendered to popular hospitals in the area of fund . This is made available to them in form of grant with the aim of covering 50 of their operational cost . The service is made available to those that are in need of financial assistance
QUESTION 3 : Illustrate and explain the concept of waiting list for elective surgery in public hospitals using a demand and supply diagram
ANSWER : There is great number of people on the waiting list for elective surgery in public hospitals this is because of the reduction in the treatment cost in these hospitals . The subsidy in cost has to do with the financial assistance rendered by the commonwealth rationing fund With aid of government , there is a great demand for the services due to the increase in the supply of goods and services . We take for instance the discovery on the healing power of aspiring for heart related disease causes the increase in its demand .
