Gays and lesbians have become more vocal as the society becomes more liberal with each passing day . The ethical values and meaning of marriage are at risk and the traditional notion of marriage is almost losing meaning . The laws defining marriage as a consensual union between a man and a woman is being challenged

According to me , same sex marriages should be eliminated from the society since they raise many ethical and moral questions in general The main purpose

It is important however that we recognize that advocates of the same sex marriages have a role to propagate for the respect to human rights in the society . Gays and lesbians have their rights and should be left to enjoy the freedoms guaranteed by the constitution . The state should have no role in regulating the lives of two consenting adults but rather should be at the forefront guaranteeing their freedoms . However , at close observation , though the state powers should be limited to state matters , I believe it has a role to play when the ideals of the society are at stake .
