EMPLOYEE 'S HANDBOOK FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AT MOLINE FIBER OPTIC MAUFACTURING PLANT Basic Policy : It is the duty of the company not only to provide the employees the minimum requirements established under existing occupational safety laws of the country but primarily to provide the employees safety and conducive atmosphere for work as would encourage higher and better productivity and industry from the employees Purpose : This Employee 's Handbook is intended to provide general guidelines and instructions to employees who will be working in the fiber optic plant with a confined space

entry . These guidelines include general as well as specific information dealing with Security , Fire Facilities , Environmental , Industrial Hygiene and Safety issues . These should not be considered as all-inclusive but as a guide as to what is expected when performing work
1 . The Occupational Safety and Employees Welfare Department (OSEWD ) is hereby established and charged in performing tasks such as periodic inspections at the work site , receive emergency calls , conduct trainings and seminars , and educate employees regarding conditions of work and occupational safety . The Management /Employer reserves the right to stop work , or the use of equipment not in compliance with applicable laws standards , or regulation
2 . EMERGENCIES - All emergencies must be reported immediately . Emergency phone numbers are provided in the company directory , and copy of Employee 's Handbook
a . All fires must be reported regardless of size
b . Discovery of all pre-existing spills and falling debris must also be reported regardless of size
c . First aid is available 24 hours /day
d . Any unusual changes in the work area atmosphere must be reported immediately with OSEWD
3 . WORK HOURS - Visitors will only be allowed access to the workplace during normal duty hours , but only to the designated areas for visitors unless he is a government inspector . Requests to work other than normal duty hours must be submitted 48 hours in advance to the appropriate office of the manager and the OSEWD so as to be provided with adequate safety and security assistance
4 . CHEMICALS , OILS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES
a . The employees shall inform the occupational safety director or any of its representatives the suspicious , capricious , and unreasonable existence , presence , or storage of chemicals not actually or currently used in the industry . All chemicals shall be placed in the warehouse for their storage , and the management shall furnish and utilize containment measures for all storage activities
b . The Employees shall ensure that oils and chemicals are protected from rainwater at all times
c . Containers shall be appropriately closed during their transportation or storage , or after using
d . No employee shall abandon or leave any chemicals or oils or any other materials on post without observing their proper storage after work periods
5 . IDENTIFICATION CARD - All employees shall present to the Security officers their respective Identification Card so as to prevent outsiders any entry to the work premises , and for the proper identification of the employees
