The reforms of Caesar

Caesar instituted various reforms in the short period he headed the Roman Empire having used the people of Rome on his way to power Although he used the people , he never trusted them having being aware of how fickle they were . He often sent his soldiers home during the years of the war . He had various intentions for establishing these reforms Despite furthering his own ambitions , he also increased the stability of the roman government

His reforms were

wide ranged covering areas that dealt with administration , public works , provinces and economy . He reformed the Roman government due to its inefficiencies that existed from its outset He did this by increasing the number of magistrates so that they could cope with the demands of the growing Empire . He introduced a grand program of colonization in to achieve his goals . He did this by establishing 20 overseas colonies . He intended to expand and repopulate diminishing colonies such as Corinth , Hispaslis and Carthage . Each colony was Latin status .
