Centuries have already passed since Cicero 's remarkable journey began This was the time when civil wars and turmoil was not unfamiliar scene Cicero 's mindset of gaining power to rebuild the Republic was never lost despite his low social and political status . Through his supreme and powerful speeches , he was able to persuade and acquire enough respect from people Cicero lived by his dream of becoming the best and to excel among others . His works consisted of philosophical writings , speeches dialogues and letters to his friends and some famous Romans . He

dwelled on things that might give an up lift with his knowledge not considering gossiping as part of his routine but the exchange of ideas as something mainly of grave importance . As of now , his works are used as educational tools in many colleges . His works are examples of the remarkable sayings that can still be used in the daily experiences from the life of the youth and with the adults
On Living a Good Life
One of his works On Old Age ' is written on the subject of aging and death . He discusses how life should go to achieve joy and satisfaction Cicero teaches us how to make something out of nothing , how to excel no matter what and how to maximize available resources . In this dialogue he mentions that one has to live in accordance to nature . People tend to be weary when approaching the age of late adulthood . Cicero advises that people should not let fear and sorrow overcome the opportunities of having a good life . One should have a good character for those who have would experience miseries . Enjoyment and a great prestige are synonymous to good character . He also states that old age and death occur naturally and that everyone should not fear it when it comes . So even if death is about to come and we feel that it will soon join us , we should not act frantically about it , instead , we must be able to make our remaining days more fruitful as we live
On Facing Death
Death occurs anytime at any place . One should face it calmly . Everyone should live his life to the fullest for death comes in random . People should consider that time is precious and that one should maximize all the available time
Cicero 's fame and power caused him his tragic death . His rivals always attempt to pull him out of position . They tried to provoke him to conspiracy and also exiled him . Cicero already knew the great consequence he 'd face- as mentioned in his letters . This shows that he was taking these events lightly . Instead of focusing on the negative side , he used these to test his will and toughness
Everything is unstable . Everything has a consequence . When one faces these challenges without considering the right actions to do , he might fail to succeed . But when he faced it with all the concrete and effective plans , he 'll be able to achieve fulfillment...
