Bullet Proof Vest ' is a short film that explores the of gun violence and gang crime in the city of Richmond , California from the perspective of two young children living there . The short documentary film offers a unique look into the lives of a mother and her children trying to thrive and survive in one of the most dangerous cities in America . The film also introduces the Tent Cities that were implemented in 2006 in some of Richmond 's most dangerous parks where many homicides and body dumps occur in an attempt to

curb this activity and demand peace in the community .
