Globalism has begun changing everything around the world , from necklines and skirt styles to election processes . Many argue that globalism is fundamentally bad for nations that were once referred to as third-world ' While there may be some harm in globalization to third world countries , globalism might make more right than wrong

The New Times of Africa (1 ) argues that Africa is hurt by globalization , first , because globalization plunges its people in to poverty

and secondly because , if Africa were to develop , the amount of natural resources Africans would need to use would be environmentally unsustainable . On the one hand , the time wants Africans to escape from the hardship of poverty , but on the other hand , it wants them to live undeveloped lives . The New Times argues that globalization denies Africa the right to health , but does not support the introduction of new technologies into Africa that might save its people . It fails to recognize that , through globalization , Africans have access to more sources of medicine , more medical innovation and more doctors than the nation would have in a closed system . It says that Globalization is non-democratic , bypassing the needs of Africans and imposing neo-colonial control (The New Times 1 . But the times would allow the restriction of trade and rails against free markets . While , on the one hand , it argues against broad trading , the times argues that the privatization of businesses makes goods unaffordable , but it favors keeping the doors of Africa closed to free trade , and thus supports a Privatized Africa

The New Times also argues that globalization is more concerned with western profits than human rights . While opponents of Globalisation argue that it hurts human rights movements , proponents argue that globalization spreads respect for human rights and that it limits ruthless , rogue dictators (Sorman 1 . Indeed , as markets open and democratic ideas spread , countries that were once unstable begin to stabilize . Dictators are influenced by western ideas . This has certainly been the case in Dubai , where women who once lacked political power are beginning to hold high governmental posts . Finally , the times argues that globalism undermines diversity and vibrancy , but this is not at all true . Without globalism , countries keep to themselves celebrating their own cultures in their own way (The New Times 1 Globalism promotes diversity , by allowing people of all nations to share goods and ideas and to create new , blended cultures .
