Acclimatizing TS16949 into the operations of the organisation

Objective

The aim of this dissertation is to study the strategies to integrate the requirements of the automotive industry 's quality management system ISO /TS16949 :2002 with the regular operations of the organisation

Introduction

Automotive parts manufacturers are under pressure from their customers to certify to the global automotive `Quality Management System ' standard ISO /TS16949 :2002 . Companies have to do this to retain their existing customers and also to get new businesses . But the requirements of the standard are not

easy to follow and many companies view this as an extra burden to be shouldered in to get future business . This dissertation activity will aim to study the existing scenario in one or more automotive component manufacturing industry and try to find ways of integrating the requirements of the standard with the day to day operations of the organisation , so that , the adherence to ts16949 may be used as a tool to improve the Operations , not only the Quality Management System ' of an organisation Bibliography
