RESEARCH ON THE CROSS-CULTURE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT IN CHINA 'S JOINT VENTURES INTRODUCTION Human resource management (HRM ) is a detailed subject with various branches relating to diverse s of HRM . One of the major studies in Human Resource Management is cross-cultural study with respect to cross-country joint ventures taking place over the globe . The research currently under progress is related to cross culture study of human resource management in joint ventures taking place in China . The purpose of the research is to evaluate and understand cross culture joint ventures and

how human resources are affected by such joint ventures Additionally , the research would be focused on evaluating the various aspects of human resource management in the corporate settings of China in reference to cross culture joint ventures
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The study of human resource management in China with respect to cross culture joint ventures will focus on both qualitative as well as quantitative research . The reason for focusing on both types of research is to evaluate the extent of human resource management and understand the depth of management in the corporate settings of China . In this regard , ethnographic study would be extremely difficult to conduct , as it will become extremely expensive and time consuming to conduct an ethnographic , qualitative study . However , questionnaires , interviews and focus groups would be conducted to perform a qualitative study about techniques and ways of human resource management in China regarding cross culture joint ventures
Major questions to ask during the focus groups , interviews and through questionnaires are noted as below
Common human resource management practices currently in the organization
Reasons for including these practices in human resource management in the organization
The new practices implemented after the cross culture joint venture in the organization
The reasons for including these new human resource management practices in the organization
Quantitative research would include forming a sample of people and using new Human Resource Management practices on those people , while taking a group of people as a a control group or sample and using the old Human Resource Management practices on them . Various quantitative methods of research would be applied with best results through F test as we have various variables to verify in the research
STRUCTURE OF THE RESEARCH
The structure of the research would be as follows
Forming groups of people for four different types of analyses
Focus groups
Interviews
Conducting questionnaires
Sample testing
All four of these groups would be handled in a different manner and multiple questions would be asked from each group so as to make our results both reliable and valid through out the research . Additionally the research would be substantiated through various theories and models which are explained ahead , in to validate our results
