Research Question

Should chocolates and softdrinks be banned from elementary schools to improve the healthy eating habits of children

Qualitative Research Orientation

The qualitative data will be obtained using personal interviews and the administration of survey questionnaire . These methods are appropriate in gathering the perceptions , opinions and thoughts on the child obesity (Hesse-Biber Leavy 2005

As an individual , I have my own views about the issue but as a researcher , I have to remain objective and without bias when conducting my research study

. I have the responsibility to gather data by using the research methods that I have chosen . The research questions that I will use in the survey questionnaire should be valid and reliable sources of information . The questions should also be relevant to the to help answer the research question

Sample Size

The sample size that I plan to use will be 100 sample respondents composed of children aged 5 to 10 years old . The sample size will represent the community in the research study

Sample and Context

The sample respondents will be composed of children , a mix of boys and girls with ages between 5-10 years old . There will be no preference for ethnicity or racial background for as long as they belong to the age group of the specified sample respondents
