Consensus among previous studies in the said field of inquiry was low and results and findings have been directed towards opposite directions . Literature Review
The author used an extensive literature to support the problem of the study . It served as the means of pointing out the gaps that need to be filled by the present research . Likewise , the author exploited the different sources of reference materials such as books , websites dissertations , and journals . However , it was noticeable that a significant number of the relevant literatures reviewed by the author were a decade or more ago
Design
It was apparent from the purpose of the study that it does not simply wanted to describe a phenomenon but wanted to find out the relationship between certain variables and the concept of prenatal attachment
Sampling
The researcher solicited the assistance of the school principal and school personnel in an inter-city special high school for pregnant women . The administrative personnel , including the school social worker were assigned to assist the researcher with .identifying the potential sample ' and in acquiring the legal consent form for the participants (Feldman , 2007 ,
. 215 . Those pregnant adolescents who have given a legal consent form have been assisted by the school personnel and all of them were able to complete the test in three sit-down testing sessions
Data Gathering
The data were gathered by requesting the qualified students to stay in the auditorium for the administration of the test , which was completed in a range of 60 to 90 minutes . The school personnel assisted in ushering the students to the auditorium and have the students take the test and the same was collected . The test as a means of gathering data did not exclude out any of the respondents and did not provide for any bias as all of them are able to understand the instrument with the questions being uniform for all of them . There were no statements from the author with regard to the assurance of confidentiality of the respondents but it was assured that they were pregnant , they belong to the adolescent group , and they have never taken the test before
