My friends and family shout out angrily at the television . They throw things at the

television and change the channel to look for some

real news and real reporting

I agree that there is far too much entertainment than reporting . I think it is

terrible that we give so much reverence to these celebrities . As a reporter I feel we should

be reporting about our world instead . There is Global Warning , The War in Iraq , our

Civil Rights , Acadia , Afghanistan , to worry about . Not the fact that Lindsay Lohan is

back in Rehab again

I understand celebrity news sells , however to inundate the viewers

with nonsense news such as this , is ridiculous . It is distressing to know that people would

rather hear scandalous Celebrity news than learn about health terrorism , Iraq or Iran . I

believe people should be aware of the world around them . I for one want to be

informed and will turn more to CNN News and visit legitimate news websites for my

information . I also I would make sure to get my news from ABC News with Charles

Gibson

I do not and would not want to report news about Angelina 's Jolie 's and Madonna 's latest African child adoption . There is value adopting an impoverished

child and giving it chance to survive . However , should Angelina Jolie and Madonna

adopting the child take most of the news hour ? I 'd rather report about the many

ordinary people who have also opened their homes to adopt these children ? This human

interest story is much more interesting than any celebrity adoption which

may or may not be a publicity stunt . Let these stories be shown on E Entertainment

Network , or People magazine My goal will be to concentrate more of my time researching on the

Internet to find stories that will inform and be useful to the public interest . I don 't believe

In the old adage If it leads it bleeds ' Which is translated to only reporting bad news

such as deaths , killings , rapes , robberies , etc

Networks use this If it leads it bleeds ' tactic to try to catch people 's

attention away from the Internet to get ratings . Why stoop to the lowest level to get

ratings ? It is not a reporter 's job to report fear to the public or even make the news

Reporters do this to promote fear to the public . They stress the negative and cover the

positive . They will stress the negative being War , terrorism attacks and possible

pandemics , I believe a reporter 's job is only to report the truth . The...
