Can religion cause positive conflict and change

It is innate in man to ask why I am here and what is my purpose ? Human or supernatural religions have similar answers to these questions although they may vary in the way of beliefs . Religion influences what a society believes , how a person act whether positively or negatively Each character of a distinct civilization evolved within the

beliefs of man so called religion . The way we live , how our arts and structures look like , how a dead is buried , marriage feast , and holy holidays are intertwined in our culture through man 's quest for a higher end

In our society today wherein freedom of belief was encouraged by the state , diverse religion proselytizes this country . Social and cultural behavior between a Muslim and Christian may differ in many ways but all these lead to change for the benefit of a society as a whole as long as religion will not be used under the cloak of terrorism . The values a society holds are taught by religion , it constitutes the morality of a society (Murphy 1999 . A godless society would not care for others unlike a God fearing country

Positive conflict may be experienced between science and technology with some religious practices and beliefs . The problems of euthanasia and abortion , same sex marriages , indecent films or pornography , test tubes or cloning of humans are all contrary to supernatural law . Since we perceive these things day in and day out , there are some occasions that living what we believe becomes a fight of going against the grain Science and technology changes our perceptions and shapes the way we live (L .H . Neese 2001 . Though both have reasons for being science is only a tool to affirm what is true . Dominance of man can not go beyond to the one who had created it

Authentic religious teachings and practices teaches man to act as a true human being , his dignity is redeemed and his exile on this planet is a means for him to get a passport to the place we call eternity
