Religion as a Factor to be considered in Public Life Issues

Religion , whether we accept it or not , is one of the factors indirectly dictating the economic and political struggles and capacities each person in the society , and the society as a whole , may possess . Religion is one of the things largely influenced by economics , vice-versa , in such a way that depending on

the economy the culture to be adopted by a community or country is , and that religion is one of the dictates of the culture . In a democratic country like the United States , there is a bline between the influences of religion to the government they are even considered to be independent of each other . But still , religion remains influential to the decisions made by people who comprise every chunk of the population being served by the government

The lifestyle and the public life of humans are up to some extent largely influenced by religion . Of course , we may say that it has negative and positive outcomes . One of the negative outcomes of making religion influential to public life is the issues on birth control and gender . Population explosion has always been a problem a country might face because of its many implications . The government pushes through campaigns that will help promote birth control , but this is countered by the belief in the church that every human has the freedom to reproduce But then , problems on unemployment , underemployment , education and health services keep on piling up because of the continuous reproduction of those who are incapable of providing for their own families . I think religion can still influence people on some other aspects , but on the economic and political issues , religion should be out of the way . The government focusing on the goods that the people may benefit from struggles to enforce these birth control methods for the benefit of everyone , with the long term effect being taken into consideration Religion in this sense looks on the short term benefits and the satisfaction of the biblical teachings with faith being the only weapon they have , but in fact , what happens in the country are due to the many factors that religion cannot handle anymore . For the issue of gender everyone is given the right by the constitution to express themselves in a rightful way , and gender is never a problem . The church always emphasizes that there are only two sexes made by God , but because of the environmental factors , gays and lesbians have emerged . With this religion remains with something to say , but the public itself is reluctant on following the teachings of the Church when it comes to these sensitive issues . Needless to say , we must no longer consider the religion to influence our public life , or at least minimize its influence which hinders the attainment of stable economy and politics...
