It is natural upon man to believe that there is a Supreme Being that created everything in this world Such belief would lead a man to participate in different religious sects or organization for him to exercise his faith . With that , all

persons like men , women young or old are
invited by religious organizations to participate in their worship activities
In connection with that , there are patterns of participation in religious
organizations among the elderly . To categorize this pattern , it is important to realize
that the elderly group in the society are those people who are most likely trying hard in
strengthening their relationship with God , as they knew that they would die anytime
The elderly may attend religious organizations and its activities once a year , once a
week , almost weekly and even daily
According to Leege and Trozzolo , there were studies which reported about the
pattern of religious activities participation among the elderly , that during the 1980 's
27 of adult Catholics and 30 of adult protestants attend services once a year or
never ( Leege Trozzolo , 2008 ,

Furthermore , some of the reasons why religion is very important in later life is
the group in the
society who are more concerned in solving social and economic problems because they
are more experienced and educated enough . The elderly believes that the unity and
strength of family relationships is highly connected with the practice of religion ( Fagon , 1996 ,
. 1 . If members of the family are aware that their faith in God would
unite and strengthen their family , they would work hard in to protect themselves
from suicide problems , immoral acts , illegal use of drugs , crimes divorce , teen
unwanted pregnancy and even alcoholic addiction ( Fagon , 1996 ,

Finally , the elderly group in the society are also mindful of the fact that
religious belief would promote formation of sound moral judgment which could protect
the people from all forms of problems . Morality is an issue that is important for the
elderly since most of them are conservative enough to succumb...
