Trying to Learn and Speak English Learning the English language is one of my mind-boggling experiences . I have been trying to learn and speak English fluently my whole life However , I know that there is nothing wrong with that as learning this particular language is a never-ending process . When I am finally capable to speak the language with such great confidence , I will surely find it as an achievement and a fulfilling experience I have been studying the English language through various ways . The main foundation of my acquisition of this language

is through education The English language is embedded in the education process , it is included in the curriculum and some of the other subjects are taught using this medium
Since I stepped into school , I have been studying the English language I started from learning the English alphabet . I memorized the alphabet as I enjoyed chatting with my friends through my native tongue . I talked endlessly about anything using the language I am accustomed to
When I climbed up to primary school , I gradually learned constructing simple English sentences . Oftentimes , the sentences I used to make described something . I remember my grade school teacher holding an apple and asking us what we can say about the apple . Some described it as red while others said it was delicious . Nevertheless , the overall aim of the activity was to hone our ability to construct English sentences and verbally express these sentences in accordance to the English rules of pronunciation and grammar
As we were only eight-year-old kids , many of us committed mistakes in pronouncing the English words . Hence , given our age , minor errors in fluency were forgiven . Still , those who were able to speak in English flawlessly and consistently seemed like they conquered the world . They displayed an aura of superiority over the other students
When I entered high school , I was bombarded with essays to write for different subjects . It seemed that writing essays suddenly became a fad for the learning facilitators that they started giving students assignments , especially in English classes where students were assigned to do compositions about various things . For instance , when the classes resumed after summer , we were asked to do an essay about our summer vacation
The goal of the writing activities was to further develop our usage of and fluency in the English language . These activities were assigned to us in preparation for our college education , as universities require applying students to submit an admission essay . They also served as our foundation when we enter the realm of the adult world where an excellent command of English is necessary . We needed to learn how to convey messages in English to achieve understanding and to land on our desired jobs
