The book makes us feel positive in treating people as individuals and not from a social class , poor , wealthy or middle class . I could learn from the book of Dr . Ruby K Payne how to understand and visualize a person as a person only , and as a member of poverty class , or a member of middle class or wealth . This realization of people as separate from their class helps any health professional in serving them better Reactions It is assumed that children from poverty hardly do anything , they do not go

on vacations , or on holidays , and they do not visit museums , they do not have enjoyment of holidays or summer and winter camps , these are not part of their life . These could be some of the reasons of students from poverty failing in schools that they do not know as much about world as much the middle and wealthy know . They are way behind of their wealthy middle class counterparts in worldly knowledge . Parents of poverty children who should have explained s of social nature and they should have given know how to their kids were actually busy in fighting for their survival . Even the language in poverty becomes mere role specific , parents teach their children only dos and don 'ts Unfortunately there happens no conversation among family that could lead to knowledge transfer from parents to the children the parents do not have real discussions with their kids
Poverty does not mean shortage of intellect or capability . It is now clear to me that many people are in poverty as they do not find any other choice they do not even imagine if their situation could be better , they have lost faith in themselves .
