Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

Before I make my request , I want to say that I really appreciate the opportunity given to me to make my case and I believe in the decisions of this committee . Whichever way it goes , I know that the decisions of this committee are not biased and

are grounded

I applied to the New York University LLM program in International Legal Studies together with my fiancye , Simona Grossi . While her application was granted , mine was rejected

I am therefore writing this letter to request you to reconsider my application for the following reasons

It has always been my dream to pursue an LLM program in the US and specifically at NYU . This desire of mine was informed by the rather astounding interest I have in International and how I have grown to appreciate International Law and the American Judicial System . As far back as I can remember , I grew up to admire the legal profession as a little boy . While in Universita degli Studi di Milano , studying with professors such as Fausto Pocar , the former member of the Human Rights Committee of the United Nations and now President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and Tullio Treves , a member of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea , has made me appreciate the value of international law the more

In addition to these , my father used to say if it is worth it , go all the way to get it ' when my application was denied , it was a strong blow on the face but Instead of going to search for another school that offers the program , I told myself if my coming to the US for my LLM is worth it , then it should be in grandeur ' One thing I believe is that life does not entirely consist is in achieving your dream (s ) but how you achieve it also matters . I chose NYU because it is one of the best law schools worldwide . The school is ranked high in the US and ranking in the world . When I applied for the Program , I saw my name being display along the names of notable lawyers like Samuel J Tilden and Lamar Alexander and Rudy Boschwitz as part of the alumnus of the Law School

Furthermore , while I was in Universita degli Studi di Milano , I was the co-editor of a leading Italian Journal called applicando ' During this period , I mistakenly stumbled on the HYPERLINK "http /www .nyu .edu /pubs /jilp " \o "http /www .nyu .edu /pubs /jilp Journal of International Law and Politics which I later discovered was one of the student-edited law journals that are produced by the University .
