The climate group states that the International Scientific Community backed up by the IPCC , has reached a clear consensus that rising concentrations of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere are leading to dangerous climate change . our children and grandchildren will live in a world of more unpredictable and extreme weather , disrupted natural systems , sea level rise , and new threats to health , food , water and security . These are

frightening facts which call for actions to avert consequences of climate change which can be very serious . These changes should be based on how we make and use energy , consume , travel and communicate . It is prudent to create a healthy low-carbon economy that will help curb and lower green house gas emissions

The most recent report by the IPCC concluded that global temperatures are rising and this is caused largely by human activities and in addition that for increases in global average temperature , there are projected to be major changes in ecosystem structure and function . This will in turn cause negative consequences for biodiversity and ecosystems like water and food supply . The report was presented at the recent concluded G8 Summit Meeting in Germany (Anup Shah , 2007 . Climate change is a global problem and therefore needs international recognition . There is need for legislative frameworks to be established in both industrialised and developing countries . These would include detailed reports on green house gas emissions by all countries

Environmental aspect is defined as an element of an organisations activities , products or services that can interact with the environment Any change whether adverse or beneficial to the environment caused by this aspect is called its environmental impact . An example is that use of office (aspect ) can cause `depletion of natural resources (impact . ISO 14001 requires that aspects over which organisations can have control or influence must be identified and further those that have or can have a significant impact must be determined . Organisation should set in place measures that will ensure that the environment is protected . These measures should show genuine concern about environmental impacts . For example an organisation should not emit gases that harm the ozone later . The organisation should show the impact their emissions have on the atmosphere

Organisations should also lay out a basis for assessing and predicting impacts . This is by building of stations that measure and predict the impact of their products or services to the environment . All countries and or organisations should install an Environmental Impact Assessment Its objective is to determine the potential environmental , social and health effects of a proposed development project on the society . Due to the perceived effects of a project , the decisions can be made which are rational and which help to develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate potential adverse effects of the project . The environmental aspect as pertains to humans falls into four categories . These are
