Instincts in Language

People , being given the ability to comprehend things through communication , have their own native languages that make them unique and different with others . Say , people in America still have different accents and dictions depending on their origin . As it was defined in Pinker 's book , language is just like human beings that started from nothingness . From being apes , human beings are now called Homo sapiens which possess the most complex systems and organs in the evolution of man . Language also has

the same evolution starting from gestures up to the words that people are now using . Pinker explained very well some parts of the language that are essential in everyday communication with others . The book presented arguments that deal with the use of language with people 's everyday lives

Words , words , words

Words are essential in conveying messages to other people especially with those who do not have ear defects . As amino acids are the building blocks of proteins , words play as the monomers of sentences . The words are outlets for the feelings or ideas . However , according to the lessons from sociology , people only assigned words to designate its name thus lessening the confusion of people . Words make it easier for its users to understand others with the context and the way words are being used Moreover , words are the building blocks of sentences that are used in everyday conversations

The Sounds of Silence

There are messages that are delivered quietly . Sensitivity of people matters in this area by which messages are understood through the gestures and actions of the conveyor . The silence do not mean emptiness but of messages that are hidden . At some points in people 's life sensitivity is an important factor in for understanding to prevail

Talking Heads

Models of communications have been made by linguists and some philosophers that suggest 2 different parties that send and receive message through channels and receivers of the message . In a conversation , it is better if people are conversing in a two way process giving both the chance to lay their ideas so as to give emphasis to points that are important . Moreover , a two way conversation can lead to better and worse interactions such that people really have different perspectives on certain things . If conflicts arise through words , it is also not impossible that these conflicts will be resolved through good exchange of reasons and a little dose of understanding and consideration

Goals in achieving a good conversation with others can be achieved by starting an environment of friendship , intellect or romance . It is a good thing that people set their limitations in connecting with people and that there is a good choice of words making it appropriate for an event . People misunderstand others with word selection therefore , it is a challenging part that conflicts will be avoided with the correct interpretation and choice of words
