Methodology

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of a vocabulary strategies program for improving reading comprehension test scores for students with specific learning disabilities (SLD ) included in content area classes . Current research suggests that special education students face notable challenges when it comes to reading comprehension and that interventions applied in the classroom are most effective for improving outcomes . With this in

mind , the following provides a review of the research design and methodology used to specifically investigate the impact of a vocabulary strategies program for special education students . In to manage the aforementioned research objectives , a research will be conducted . theless , the approach should be appropriate to the nature of the research questions (Silverman , 2000 In this study , a combination of both quantitative and qualitative approach has been considered as the most appropriate way of explaining the impact of pre-teaching vocabulary to students with specific learning disabilities in the content class on reading comprehension scores . Since the researcher shall obtain the participants ' opinions only once , the time horizon for the data collection would result in a cross sectional study .
