Rape
Running head : WORLD WITHOUT RAPE A World without Rape [Name of author] [Institutional information] What if there was no rape ? How would it change the world and our lives as individuals ? Or would there be any significant change at all ? Philip Jackson , a family man who earns a living through his plumbing services tells us that had the world been free of rape , he would have felt more secure for his young daughter . On the other hand , Jenny Myers , a mother of two daughters and a grandmother to one , tells us

that if there was no rape in the first place , the thought of having the need to secure her daughters from the threats of rape and other forms of sexual abuse and harassment would not have crossed her mind . The responses of the two individuals , whether or not they contradict or reinforce one another only tell us that both are actually concerned in some way with the reality of rape
Asked when how he would have raised his kids if there was no rape Philip Jackson says that he would have not be worrying at all of whether or not my daughter would be endangered some time in the future when she becomes old enough ' However , Mr . Jackson argues that he finds it quite difficult to imagine a world devoid of rape or any sexual abuses for that matter because all the while I grew up in a society where not even the broad daylight can assure the safety of both males and females from being raped by unknown individuals ' By the tone of his voice and the way his facial expressions respond to the question , it appears that Mr . Jackson is at an immediate disbelief with the thought of a rape-free society . He connects that thought with his experiences and observations with the community he has been living in for the past three decades or so
Jenny Myers , on the other hand , says that she would have wished that the world be truly rid of rape ' so that she can be in a peaceful mind not only for her family but also for the whole world . At her age , five decades of existence taught her to protect myself from all the possible dangers that beset women ' putting a greater emphasis on the aspect of rape . Not only does she view rape as a barbaric act which bastardizes the bodily gifts of God ' but also as an act which makes one less human and more like that of a beast or an animal ' One can easily see the face of discomfort of Mrs . Myers while responding to the question , telling us that , indeed , a woman of her years coupled with a rich life experience through time holds life as something sacred , and human sexuality as something that should not be bastardized ' even more
Both Philip Jackson and Jenny Myers agree that securing the life of their daughters in these harsh times is truly a growing concern , with dangers more...
