A study conducted in August of 2006 RAND , a non-profit think tank , conducted a study that concluded that teenagers who listen to sexually degrading music ' become sexually active earlier . The study was conducted by using telephone interviews of a sample of 1242 individuals between 12 and 17 years old . Their sexual morays were discussed initially and again after

three year had passed . They were interviewed , too as to their musical preference as it related to 16 popular groups whose music most likely to contain degrading lyrics from
