It is a place where one can enjoy the joys of target practice or shooting without causing danger to anyone . One can shoot here for leisure and practice . Colorado Rifle Club , Inc . or CRC is founded in 1925 and located in a wildlife sanctuary . It is said that the range is developed according to the state codes and laws thus considered as one of the safest . It is located in Byers in Colorado and has pistol , smallbore rifle , schuetzen rifle , silhouette , high power , and action pistol ranges and sporting clays field for facilities . Its ranges have an average of 30 targets at 50 yards for the pistol , at 50 yards to 100 yards for smallbore rifle and at 100 yards to 200 yards for schuetzen rifle . The high power range has targets at 200 , 300 , 385 and 500 meters

The firing lines are all sheltered and cemented and mostly used by cowboys , Boy Scout troops and competitors during different matches . CRC uses man-made , non-glass materials as targets . It boasts of having the lowest fees in the state but available only to privileged guests and club members

Like any other ranges , the CRC strictly implements its safety rules and regulations . This is the core of their safety program . When one enters the range , one can sense the strict implementation of the safety protocols . It only allows usage of licensed weapons . Reminders in bulletins and posts can be seen everywhere and from the signing in itself , one can vibe that this club sure knows how to follow and implement rules

During application , a prospective member is scrutinized for license and membership . Colorado Rifle Club encourages affiliation with Colorado State Shooting Association and National Rifle Association . This way , it could immediately verify the authenticity of a license of an individual seeking membership to the club at the same time educates first or amateur shooters . Applications can be downloaded from the internet but signatures must be made personally in front of a CRC staff for security purposes . This ensures that each participant is really licensed to carry and fire a weapon .
