Racial and Gender Issue in my Community

Despite of the principles about the equality of all of the society 's members that are declared in the contemporary society nowadays , the phenomenon of discrimination still exists in our country . From one viewpoint it is natural for people to treat those who surround them regarding to their age , gender , religious beliefs , physical condition or some other parameters , but when this peculiarities are used for to determine the person 's abilities or freedom of action it created huge problems in social communication and other processes

. For to get more information about the degree of discrimination , present in our society I explored and analyzed the influences of race as it relates to my community

I am a white male , and I live in Florida , U .S . Historically , the persuasion exists that this category of Americans is the most influential in our country . White males are considered to be the most important audience , the politicians and leader of communities usually consider the opinion of this group when they decide something . The contemporary community gives more possibilities to develop to this category of citizens , as they are the most appreciated electors

Statistically , white young males have the greatest possibility to get the job that satisfies their requirements , as it is usually that their level of education is higher than that of the other categories of workers . It is also that man doesn 't require paid vacation when his child is born . Technical malls , bars , bowling clubs are all created for to satisfy the he needs of this specific group . It is also that in my community the opinion of young white males ' weight more than those of the representatives of the other social classes and structures

In the same time , the representatives of other gender and age categories are sometimes discriminated in my community . Their viewpoints and needs are often put on the second place comparing to those of the white males . For example , there are little women and non-Caucasian citizen among those , who work in the local government . It is often that the interests of the other groups of people are represented poorly there

It is also that the stereotypes exist within my community applied to people of race and gender other than mine . The example is that women are often considered less clever than the males are , that the Afro-American people are less intelligent and inclined to the unlawful doings . This is why the level of salaries in my community is greater for thr white males than for the non-whites and for females

The other members of my community treat people lke me according to the stereotypes they have . Those who belong to the same group as I am treat each other as equals , with some small sense of superiority to the other people who live in the same community .
