Racial Politics in urban america
(Name (Professor (Course / subject (Date Racial Politics in Urban America On 1994 when apartheid has finally ended , the blacks have been able to assert themselves through movements and empowerment association or lobby groups . These groups are so-called and are made in to extend the liberation and the equality that the blacks and other minority groups are supposed to experience However , in our modern day , about 13 years after the end of apartheid there is still so much of inequality and discrimination that can be felt most specifically throughout the urban regions

of America . In these places races are still discriminated in such as blacks are still being rendered to belong or to be seen as lower class or as uneducated slave minorities
Empowerment has then become a central issue for those who would like to become liberated against this still going discrimination and racial inequality . It is not just a social inequality but rather a deeply political and economical problem that has proliferated throughout the consciousness and culture of the America people (Stokes Melendez
I consider political empowerment to be more important source of black empowerment . I believe that this is the case because when blacks gains political power or have recognize politically , there would be a greater chance for them to rally for other economic liberating laws or policies (Browning , Marshall Tabb , 2002
Also , it is only when Blacks are given enough political equality and empowerment that they would be able to express themselves freely and could change how people view them generally . It is through political empowerment that they would be able to create a definition of themselves
Unlike when they pursue economic empowerment , they could not be recognize and could only become empowered under the names of corporations and associations which are nevertheless usually connected to the Whites
