the verge of adopting this new technology that will render the use of barcodes useless in the supermarkets . With this customers will be approaching the counter and all the goods that he has carried will be identified with the use of the radio signals and this will serve to reduce the long queues at the cashier 's desk in the supermarkets . This can also be used in tracing the inventories of a particular household (Angus , 2003 . This will help people in the house to be able to plan on how much they are going to spend and how much will be left for future use and also the people in a particular house will be able to be informed on an item that is missing or rather lacking in the house . It might also ease the problem of coming up with a shopping list and doing shopping . With this in place , a shopping list can be made for you within a short time and at the same time the list can be send to the supermarket so that commodities can be purchased and delivered at your door step with just a touch of a button For people who find it hard following the queues at the supermarket this will save them their time because they will not have to go the supermarkets as this technology will do that for them
