Racial Profiling

Racial profiling is the practice carried out by different security forces that make out a person as having taken part in unlawful actions based on that person 's race or ethnic background rather than their dealings or report . This is more often than not done because the law enforcers have the fallacious thinking that these groups of people are more probable than others to commit particular types of crimes (Carrick 8 ) Due to racial profiling , it is common to find traffic

officers stopping a vehicle for no particular basis but the race or ethnicity of the motorist

In Texas , the constitution that is SECTION 1 . Chapter2 , Code of criminal procedure has been revised and amended by adding some clauses which in turn make racial profiling prohibited . Therefore , all the agencies of the government that put into effect the law like traffic police officers are sternly forbidden by law from engaging in racial profiling (Fredrickson , 2002 ) Furthermore , the law goes ahead to advice on a process that has to be implemented through which an individual can a protest against a peace officer that has committed an act of racial profiling . For this to be victorious , the public should be well-informed and well-versed of their rights and how they can attest if their rights have been infringed .
