Purpose of statement

Most people dream of a high paying job and mingle with the elite in a posh environment like hotel . This chance opens only to a few , most often to those tagged as MBA . With my desire to work in a hotel , I am also passionate to earn a master 's degree in hospitality in a school that promises quality education . I believe Cal Poly Pomona can provide a better system in the quality of teaching and in the end , the quality of students that they can give to the society . In such way , it

will not only increase my sense of self-worth but will also help my future employer meet its expectations and goals

My hotel management stint started after completing my internship program from my college years in Taiwan . When I established my internship background , I realized that being an employee is more than just working in a prominent hotel . You also have to be a psychologist because you talk to customers (mostly the rich and professionals ) and you must adjust to their traditions and cultures . Taking the experiences from my internship , I know it is still not enough for me to say that I am now ready to work and be part of the hotel environment

Twenty-one years have been a mixture of all sorts . From the highest peak to the lowest moments , still I am standing up and continuing my journey This is the reason that up to now , I am still determined to widen my educational background by earning an MBA title . I believe that studying under an MBA program would help me envision more of the real set-up and practices of a hotel . After acquiring such title , I plan to incorporate myself in a hotel where I can gain enough learning experiences that will prepare me in establishing my own hotel in the future , in my hometown Macao

Given the chance to earn a master 's degree , I know for sure that with the help of the school , I can become a competitive individual - prepared and all set to face the challenges...
