They are even allowed (because of special pet-therapy ) to have pets . Researches , which were made in America , showed that in 70 nursing homes where they were allowed bringing pets , elderly people , suffering from depression or those who refused from any kind of communication completely changed their character and started to participate in public life , made friends with other inhabitants of the home , with whom they 've never spoken before

People , who live there , don 't take care about cleaning the rooms , beds changing towels , cooking food , etc . All this is made by specially trained nurses , which take care of elderly people

Hospitals are usually used for those elderly people , who are not able to take care about themselves without any help , but who need that help on a level higher than in nursing home . Still , although medical treatment can be better there (because there are a lot of medics and surgeons...
