Indeed fraternities and sororities have evolved over the years . Going down memory lane , the first fraternity in America was established in 1776 , the same year America gained its independent . Since then , there have been several fraternities that have been established in America Generally , fraternities are established to develop members , create a lifelong bound between members and to instill responsibility into members . However , after several years of establishing these fraternities the question to ask is do they really achieve their purposes ? Are these fraternities really fulfilling

the purpose (s ) why they were originally established to serve ? These and many more questions are what fill our minds today
