Psychology Erickson 's stages of development involve the emotional , psychological and physical part of an individual and it attributes every stage to some particular activity . I conducted an interview on my cousin who is 21 years old and according to my judgement is beyond the middle adult stage of Erickson He mentioned to me that the significant stages in his life were getting to develop friendships with friends both in school and at home understanding parts of his body especially during the time some biological processes were occurring on some parts

of the body and getting to realize that he has to struggle hard in to get a good career and earn some money to provide for the family . I associated this with the stages of Initiative versus guilt and identity versus role confusion (adolescence ) respectively
He mentioned to me that these events occurred at approximately the ages of 7yrs , 11yrs and 16 yrs respectively . Despite realizing these changes he told me that he has achieved some of his goals like getting a good job in a banking industry , paying school fees for his siblings and living in a good house
What made him achieve his goals was the internal motivating factor that he had , to achieve the best in life and assist his family whom they were not better off .
