Reality therapy occurs as one of the cognitive behavioral therapies whose focus is to facilitate towards the client in becoming aware of his /her actions and thoughts and if possible guide towards a change This is enabled through building a friendly relationship with such a client which then motivates him /her towards the probable approach of realizing his /her thoughts and focusing on changes . The behavioral change to the client therefore occurs following the good relationship between the counselor

and the client . The therapist may use enforcement to the client in examining the behavioral context of the client (John 2007

However , the behavioral judgment ought to be made by the client by him /herself . Despite this freedom granted to the client , the therapist might have problems in making self evaluations . The therapist is therefore supposed to make evaluations on behalf of the client . In areas that create double obligations in making such choices , the client may be in difficult to make the best evaluation for one-self . Elsewhere persons who are affected by various psychological problems that limit their chances of making rational evaluations can demand assistance of the therapist in making such choices (Richard , 2007

Therapist 's evaluations for some clients who have the inability of making rational evaluations is highly important . This is because the therapeutic process is aimed at creating desirable conditions with which the client can develop valuable approach towards his /her life . However if he /she is in incapacity of meeting this reservation , client has no other obligation rather that developing evaluation measures that may guide the client through his behavioral development . Either , imposing one 's values could ideally be rational and acceptable . This is when the values and perceptions of the client towards developing a positive behavioral response are ideally difficult . Clients may subjectively be modeled on the wrong values and perceptions . Rationality , reality therapy should not compromise the therapist 's imposition of his /her good values and perceptions that will help a better scope of the client 's behavior (Perry , 2005
