Psychology of Learning Design and Technology
The Psychology of Learning Design and Technology 1 ) Imagine you were asked to redesign one of the animations . Select two of the principles suggested by Mayer (2001 ) and articulate specifically how you would redesign that animation to enhance learning . Make sure your modifications would ENHANCE learning rather than simply enhance the animation . [4 points] Answer I would redesign the about Hurricanes by applying two of the Mayer 's 7 design principles (2001 . The Multimedia Principle were in the students learn better from words and pictures than from words alone and Modality

Principle were as the students learn better from animation and narration than from animation and on-screen text . To enhance the learning outcomes of the said s we should plan it very well . Start on creating a portfolio so that we are guided to achieved the objective that we are aiming . Next is to have a curriculum-framing question consist of the essential question , content question and unit question guide for the outline of the s so that will focus on the content knowledge . These questions cannot be responded in a simple sentence this would enhance the students ' critical thinking skills . We called this question as essential because this point to the input and the main ideas of discipline . After this point , you have to plan for our students ' activity to enhance their leaning capability . But , before that give them a little overview about the copyright laws and fair use guidelines because most probably in giving their activities it needs resources so better to discuss this first to avoid malpractice or unethical use of those resources such as books , journal , magazine music , and the most common resource is the World wide web or commonly called the internet
Lastly , the use of the technology , this will motivate the student to participate , listen and enhance their learning . In creating a multimedia presentation we should plan the content knowledge , we must considered the curriculum framing question to be targeted and also we must consider in designing the presentation our target viewer and the learning objective . Better to create a multimedia storyboard to plan the content knowledge and the layout our presentation including the graphics images , text , color , motion path , background color , transition etc . And after this create a rubrics to be presented to the students so that we will know if they gain knowledge from the presentation we have presented
2 ) Imagine that you are interested in investigating whether the use of one of the animations you viewed and redesigned in question 1 was more beneficial to learning than the use of static images illustrating the same . Based on Tversky , Morrison Betrancourt (2002 , describe three different factors you would need to think carefully about in designing an experimental comparison between static and animated displays . Make sure to relate the factors you describe specifically to the article . [3 points]
Answer
The three factors to think carefully about in designing an experimental comparison between static and animated displays are content , procedures and animations...
