No state is completely immune of problems and our beloved state is no different . One of

the health problems which gives me much concern is the pandemic spread of influenza

Influenza is an airborne , viral disease . It is usually spread by sneezing and coughing . It

can also be spread through contact with the infected person 's body fluids

One of the major problems of influenza is its effect on the economy . The disease is not

deadly but has a long recovery period during which the infected person is incapable

of

doing anything constructive . Due to the rapid spread a large population of the work force

is usually affected at the same time causing a decrease in the level of the state 's

productivity during their recovery

Another problem is the overlying effect that influenza has from the 1918 epidemic . There

have been a massive boom as most people whose parents were affected or killed during

the epidemic are more susceptible to contacting the disease (Children whose mothers

Another problem we are facing is the effect the disease has a dangerous effect on children

and the elderly (in the very young and the elderly , infection can lead to severe
