Sources of conflict in a project may result from how persons perceive project goals . This is because it can become problematic if the success of the goal becomes unduly competitive or if one person is seen as performing well than the other . Moreover , other person 's or group 's perceptions can bring about conflict by creating an attitude of us versus them . This situation can therefore result to a group having damaging divisions

This can cause mistrust particularly in environments which are competitive . The approaches that people use to deal with conflicts include arranging for the conflicting parties to meet and both parties reaching an agreement of satisfaction .
