The responsibilities of project manager working on the road show
preparation and participation include :
To handle deals with contractors - to lead negotiations concerning
timely supplies of all necessary materials
To work with advertising and creative agencies in order to develop all
necessary supporting materials (brochures , presentations etc )
To ensure that supporting materials are properly and correctly filled
with all the appropriate information
To ensure that sales people are well-trained (to make sure they possess
enough information about the product , enough skills to present it and
explain its advantages to potential customers in order to be able to
convince the latter to buy it
To lead negotiations with transportation companies in order to ensure
that display stand is delivered timely and properly
To work with documentation to ensure all the deals are properly paid for
and fixed in written manner
To analyze competitors displays and their activity in presenting
themselves during different trade shows
To ensure that invitations to the trade show are designed , printed and
sent to key customers
To supervise the work of the team accountable to the project manager .
The project manager needs to possess the following qualities and
characteristics :
be responsible and self-motivated
have strong management and organizational skills
attentive to details
communicative
able to meet
able to work under pressure
time management skills .
It is preferable that project manager has work experience in the field ,
so he is used to leading negotiations with different contractors and
developing effective scheme of cooperation between different links .
However , the absence of experience can be compensated by desire and
ability to learn new information and apply it quickly . It is also
extremely important that project manager is flexible and creative , so he
is able to approach different situations from different perspectives he
is able to work with advertising agencies and design studios on the
equal basis and control their work appropriately .

education in management / marketing
work experience in commercial structures
availability of references
existence of certain achievements in the field of work...
