Project Management-Achieving Project Goals Simulation
I try to come up with contingency plans . In other words , I try to come up with alternative solutions to different problems that could come up with the progress of the project However , it must be noted that the alternatives that I come up with must consider the risks associated with them . Also , these alternatives must consider the vital factors of the project such as time and cost . In this way , I can ensure that I do not jeopardize the project Risk or Time If I needed to compress a project , I

will compromise the time rather than the risk . It is my belief that compromising risks may only lead to further problems if such risks do become a reality . Time , on the other hand , is easier to compromise because delays are easier solved that the problems that the risks may be produced when these are compromised
For instance , in the simulation , I chose to compromise time by choosing the option of requesting for another truck . Although there will be delays in the airport , I did not want to risk the completion of the project nor did I want to risk the safety of the elephants . In the next two scenarios , I chose the option that might take more time but guaranteed the safety of the elephants and the safe delivery of the animals to the destination
Key Points
The four key points that I believe were emphasized in the simulation are the following
Always consult your team members for they could contribute valuable information that could aid your decision making
The Work Breakdown Structure and the Project Network are essential tools in project management . A manager must have a clear understanding of the two before starting the project
In the event of delays or problems , the project manager must...
