Project Analysis : Disneyland in Hong Kong Project Analysis Introduction Walt Disney is not only known for its original movies and cartoons , but also for its enchanting theme parks . In 1952 , the Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI ) was created to plan , design , and build Disneyland in Anaheim , California . The group was established to create Disney theme parks and resorts in different parts of the world . Five years have passed , and the Walt Disney Imagineering 's new target is to create a theme park in Hong Kong The newest Disneyland in Hong Kong

can be visited at a reclaimed territory at Lantau Island . The said magic wonder park was pronounced to be the fifth to be ever found and built in the world after consulting the past records . The WDI negotiated with the Hong Kong SAR , and the park finally opened on September 12 , 2005 . The chosen date is considered to be a lucky ad promising date for emerging businesses according to the Chinese calendar . During the building /construction of this magic park there were considerations concerning the Chinese traditions and customs
Objectives and Scope of the Project
The objectives of the project were to create a theme park in the East Asia , Southeast Asia and Australia . In choosing for the location of the latest Disneyland theme park , the following criteria were followed : 1 an international city with a substantial tourism base , 2 ) a well-established hospitality industry , 3 ) a vigorous communications and infrastructure apt for travel , 4 ) mild weather appropriate for a year-round operation , and 5 ) a flat and even expanse of land
The scope of the project covered every detail of the establishment of the theme park . From the selection of the location , to the reclamation of the land , to the employment of workers , to what establishments are to be built and of course , all of these were fitted to the Chinese customs beliefs and traditions
Stockholder 's Analysis
The Hong Kong International Theme Parks takes hold of the said establishment . The company is owned by two sectors namely the Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong government
Project Management
The objectives , goal and principles of a company can be stated and seen at the Project Life cycle where it is arranged sequentially . Of course there are stages by which a company should surpass for the pursuance of its plans . The third stage is the Execution phase from the world itself is putting into reality the recorded and distributed plans .
