Introduction A professional action plan outlines what a one undertakes to achieve within a certain specified time limit in his /her professional work . The actions plan should have set target goals and objectives that have to be attained using specific means . The objectives and targets must be realistic , measurable and achievable , and the profession has to have strategic plans to attain his /her goals . Health care has become so dynamic and complex that it is giving various new challenges to the health care professions (Frenk 1993 . Thus , it is important that

professions in this sector get more advanced skills and knowledge to face the changes . This requires good planning and efficient and effective implementation of the plans
My Current Education Level Bachelor of Science Health Administration
Currently , I am undertaking a Bachelor of Science Health Administration this program is geared towards applied science in the health sector and equips students with necessary skills and knowledge that will enable them to work in the health care sector . The program prepares the graduate to be able to integrate both the human side of health care together with the business management side . It allows graduate to be effectively and efficiently manager different responsibilities in the health care sector
My Current Position
For the past three years , since 2004 I have been working with the department of veteran Affairs VA hospitals as an outreach worker , the official job title of my work is Readjustment Counseling Technician . The job calls for close working relations with the veterans , who are retired military members of America . As a former United States navy officer I greatly enjoy my current job , as it gives me an opportunity of getting together with the veterans and their families and assisting them in different issues . The job is okay but , I need to advance my carrier and work at a higher level in the department
Duties as a Readjustment Counseling Technician
Duties for a readjustment officer involves working in multiple disciplinary communities based teams located within veteran community The officer carries out community outreach activities such counseling rehabilitation , and treatment to the veterans and their families . The officer also is involved with networking of various organizations that work together with the community . The readjustment officer also work hand in hand with other team members , and other professionals , non professionals , volunteers , and any other community bodies to assist the veterans realize , and resolve the problems they have . The officer is also supposed to get involved in other therapeutic activities in veterans centers that go beyond outreach program . The readjustment officer is also involved in community outreach program to veterans , and identifies their needs and their problems and directs the veterans to their center , or to other veteran facilities available such as community agencies which will act accordingly
