Production and Operations Management deals in the area where all the operational and production activities of a company , dealing in any sort of goods are transformed into outputs which meet the particular needs of the consumers who buy the goods from the market . However , it is important that distribution of these goods also falls into the area of production and operations management . Another important point in the explanation of the concerned area is that all the activities put into meeting this goal are regarded as inputs and the result that comes out of these inputs is regarded as outputs .
