Formal communication is very important in a workplace as it is a very important form of communication in an organization . An effective formal communication initiates success in the group . One way to encourage formal communication between managers and employees is to develop an open environment (Aspire Training and Consulting , n .d . With an open environment , the managers also need to make certain protocols to avoid possible conflicts . The protocol that will be established should be in accordance to the policy and guidelines of the organization or the company . It should also be for the common good of everybody
To further encourage the flow of formal communication , managers should be able to encourage and established transparency with his subordinates and within the work place . Transparency enables everybody to know what is really happening in the company . With transparency transpiring in the workplace , employees would feel that they are really part of the organization since they know what is occurring inside .
